He presents his third exhibition in Peru in the Enlace Gallery. “Consummation or Consumption” gathers an interesting and amusing series of paintings made with a complex technique that combines reproduction technologies for billboard advertising and painting in which underlines the traditional category of the images he proposes. Embarked in a characteristic ‘neo-pop’, Roncoli goes back to the original postulates that in the fifties gave birth to English pop ( Philips, the early Smith Jones ) and later, North American pop. For this, he takes publicity images from the fifties and sixties, uses or reorganizes them in a well proposed collage and the transcribes them, in a large format and intervenes them with an invasive sense of space overwhelming in its accents, vociferous and even excessive in colors and strokes. He adds elements, suggests others or hides the origins to achieve a strange effect of joyful chaos, frivolous presence and absurd discourse.
